McHenry County College is embarking on an examination of the future of the County to help inform college leadership in its preparations for a strategic planning effort.
On June 13, 2018, 75 college stakeholders from the region took a deep-dive into the future during a Strategic Foresight Session. The participants spent the morning examining important emerging trends and crafted a range of possible future scenarios for MCC leading up to 2030.
The Strategic Foresight Session explored how the County would change over time, in relation to emerging macro and local trends. Four scenarios were generated for the future of the College, and participants discussed expected and preferred futures.
