Key Factors – Importance in Future

Respondents were asked to respond to a question about the ‘Importance of a range of factors to the future of Smithville’. The question was:

How important do you think the following factors will be to the future of Smithville?
Scale: 1 = Not at all Important; 10 = Critically Important

Quality of Education, Quality of public infrastructure including streets and amenities and Recreational opportunities were seen as the most important factors in the future. This was followed by Job market and availability in Smithville and Kansas City area and Economic diversification such as retail
Autonomous vehicle technology and Changing long term weather conditions and patterns were seen as the least important factors in the future
