Importance of drivers in shaping the future of waste management in Iowa

Respondents were asked to respond to a question about the ‘Importance of drivers in shaping the future of waste management in Iowa’. The question was:

  • For the following ‘drivers of change’, how important you think they are in shaping the future of waste management in Iowa?
  • Scale: 1 = Not at all important; 10 = Critically important

Key things to note:

  • All respondents felt that ‘Project Packaging Design Changes’ was critically important.
  • ‘Markets and Pricing for Recyclable Materials’ were seen as the next most critically important driver, followed by ‘ Changing attitudes of Iowa’s citizens’ desire for sustainable waste management’.
  • ‘Government regulations restricting land uses’ was seen as the least important driver.
