Key Factors – Age and Affiliation Cohort Data

Importance of Driver (X Axis) x Performance in Addressing Drivers (Y Axis)

This chart explore the responses based on age and organizational affiliation cohorts. Like in the ‘Key Factor – Average Data’ chart, it combines responses to two questions to create an interactive scatter plot. This visualization shows response data as it relates to all 12 drivers.

The chart is structured as follows:

  • X-Axis is the response to the question “For the following ‘drivers of change’, how important do you think they are in shaping the future of waste management in Iowa?”

The scale is: 1 = Not at all  important; 10 = Critically important

  • Y-Axis is the response to the question “How well is Iowa currently addressing the following ‘drivers of change’?” The scale is: 1 = Not very well; 10 = Very well
  • This chart presents the result distribution based on the age and organizational affiliation Cohorts of respondents.

Key things to note:

  • For each factor, you will be able to look at the concentration of responses between cohorts – some factors count on a very concentrated set of answers, showing agreement between cohorts of respondents. Other factors show a bigger spread, which shows that respondents perceive these issues differently.
  • For the factors where there is not a great concentration, filter by areas of age group, gender, organizational affiliation and driver of change and see how the cloud of responses changes.
  • Hover over each circle to reveal the specific cohort details.
