Importance of Factor now (X Axis) x Importance of Factor in Future (Y Axis) – Average Points

This chart combines responses to two questions to create an interactive scatter plot. This visualization shows response data as it relates to all 12 Factors. This chart presents the average results based on all respondents.

The chart is structured as follows:

  • X-Axis is the response to the question “How important do you think the following Factors are to the Middle Georgia region in 2018” The scale is: 1 = Not Important; 10 = Critically Important
  • Y-Axis is the response to the question “How important do you think the following Factors will be to the Middle Georgia region in 2030?” The scale is: 1 = Not Important; 10 = Critically Important

Key things to note:

  • The overall most critically important topic both in 2018 and looking out to 2030 was Economic and Industry Diversification
  • Workforce and Skills Shortage was seen as marginally more critical in 2018
  • Decline in Mining and Agriculture Sectors was seen as the least important issue both in 2018 and in 2030.
