Josephine Yilan Liu

Josephine is a founding partner of the URBAN FUTURE ventures in Austria, Hong Kong and Lichtenstein. The URBAN FUTURE global conference (UFGC) is Europe’s largest event for sustainable cities, and the URBAN FUTURE holding is the project development arm that finances and develops next generation pilot projects.

Her role has been to focus on initiating forward thinking, connecting and leveraging knowledge, resources and capital to realize innovative, sustainable and resilient urban solutions that help to solve pressing social and environmental issues. With these projects, Josephine hopes to create positive social impact at scale with technology, that provoke positive social cycles.

Josephine studied Environmental Design in Beijing, China, before taking her master in Graz, Austria majoring in Architecture and Project Management. She’s been living in Austria since 2008.

Prior to the URBAN FUTURE ventures, she worked across Asia, Europe and North America with renowned designers and architects with business development, training, as well as to bridge the gaps between different cultures, disciplines and mentalities.
