The Vision and Strategic Action Plan has just been published. This is the final report for the City of Smithville Vision and Strategic Action Planning process.

The Reconvene Think-Tank workshop will take place on Wednesday 18 September, 2019 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. The workshop will be held at Smithville High School Cafeteria, 645 S Commercial Ave, Smithville, MO. Please register to attend this important workshop, which is part of the overall City of Smithville Vision and Strategic Action Plan project. Deadline for Registration is Tuesday 10 September, 2019.

This Community Profile and Benchmark Analysis has been published. This report presents an analysis of the demographic, economic, health conditions and trends of Smithville. In addition, the report compares Smithville against similar cities and towns across the United States.

On June 8, 2019 approximately 70 committed Smithville citizens engaged in the City of Smithville Think Tank workshop. This was the launch event of the project and through scenario planning, a range of plausible futures were created. The report from the Think Tank has just been released.

We would like to understand your perspective about key trends shaping the future of Smithville. By taking this survey you will be contributing to the overall Smithville Community Vision and Strategic Plan project.

The citizens of Smithville are encouraged to attend the following community engagement sessions which will provide an opportunity to react to priorities from the June 8th Think Tank session. The community engagement sessions will be held at various times and locations across Smithville June 27-28 to allow for more participation. These results from these sessions and the input from the community will contribute to the City of Smithville Vision and Strategic Action Plan.
