The Story Behind the Logo
- Resonates with the Town of Hilton Head Island logo – we wanted the logo to be similar, but stand apart.
- Colors that reflect the landscape – the blue and green reflect the ocean and land, and mirror the environmental vision that underpins the community.
- Inclusive – the use of ‘Our Future’ and the encircling arrows reflects the very strong desire to have an inclusive process that is open to all people.
- Connects the Past and the Future – the use of fonts and design reflect the past, but also bring a contemporary feel to the image.
- Built to last – the oak tree symbolizes strength and endurance, and the aspiration that from seeds sown in the visioning work, big things will grow.
