Key Factors – Nature of Change

Key Factors – Nature of Change

Respondents were asked to respond to a question about the ‘Expected nature of change of a range of factors for Mitchell over the next 10 years’. The question was:

Over the next 10 years, do you think expected changes in each of these factors to be positive or negative for Mitchell
Scale: -5 = Very negative; + 5 = Very positive

Key things to note:

  • ‘Availability of education’ and ‘Strength of agricultural industries’ were seen as the factors where expected changes over the next 10 years would be the most positive.
  • ‘Aging population of the community’ and ‘Cost and access of eldercare and healthcare’ were seen as the factors where expected changes over the next 10 years would be the most negative.
  • ‘Autonomous vehicle technology’ and ‘Changing long term weather conditions and patterns ‘were seen as the factors where expected changes over the next 10 years would be most neutral. These two factors were also seen as the least important which could indicate a lack of certainty about what to expect with these factors.
